2023 GMC Canyon AT4

The 2023 GMC Canyon is available in two trim levels specially designed for the trails — the AT4 and the all-new off-road-specialized AT4X. Each trim has a spacious crew cab and a 61.7-inch-long bed. The AT4 features a bold new look and a unique grille and badging, while its 9.6 inches of ground clearance helps its performance on the trails. With the AT4, you get automatic LED headlights, signature LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, dark gray 18-inch aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires, heated power mirrors, a CornerStep rear bumper, and LED taillights. In the bed, there is a 120-volt power outlet, cargo box lighting, and the EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate with a storage compartment. The AT4X adds its own unique exterior design elements, along with 10.7 inches of ground clearance, aluminum skid plates, and gloss-black 17-inch wheels with 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Under the 2023 Canyon's hood is a new turbocharged 2.7-liter high-output four-cylinder engine. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The AT4 and AT4X come standard with four-wheel drive for impressive off-road capability.

On the highway, the AT4 and AT4X offer a smooth and composed ride while also having the features for superb capability when you hit the trails. The AT4 has an automatic-locking rear differential, a two-speed transfer case, and a drive mode selector. You get an impressive towing capacity of up to 7,700 pounds. The AT4X adds Multimatic DSSV dampers and electronic locking front and rear differentials. It offers a stout maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds.

In the AT4's stylish cab, you'll find keyless ignition, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, cloth and simulated-leather seating, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 120-volt power outlet. The infotainment system features an 11.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice activation, and six-speaker audio with satellite radio. Interior features for the AT4X include leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and a heated steering wheel. You also get an 11-inch cluster display, a 6.3-inch head-up display, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, and a wireless charging pad.

The Canyon AT4 comes standard with a full suite of driver assistance technologies. It includes blind zone steering assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking with cyclist detection, and an HD rearview camera. For safer trailer hookup, you also get a hitch view camera and hitch guidance. In addition to those features, the AT4X offers adaptive cruise control, rear parking assist, rear cross-traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, and a safety alert seat.
